What you'll do
We will start the day with the iconic Azhar Mosque, then we will head directly to Moez St. where we will be exploring the hidden nooks and crannies that only a few other than us know of. Starting from The Qalawoon Complex which consists of Sultan Qalawoon’s mosque and hospital and his son’s mosque. Also you will get to see one of the most beautiful ceilings made by the Islamic architectures all over the world in Sultan Barqouq’s mosque, and many other stops. During the walk in Moez st. you will have a closer look at the way old Egyptians used to live and also try some of our special traditional Egyptian drinks. Then we’ll move towards Al Futuh gate where we will visit Al Hakim mosque, one of the most iconic monuments of the old Cairo. We will also walk through the famous Khan Elkhalili souq and see its architectural splendor and hyper-local shops and boutiques and we will help you buy your gifs with reasonable prices. After that comes the time for an exceptional Egyptian lunch. At last, a touch of nature with a Nile flouka ride in the golden sunset hour (a very photogenic time to be in a Nile ride)
Ayman and I are freshly graduated doctors who have been living in Cairo for the past 11 years. We have always been obsessed with the history of Egypt since day one. Cairo is a magical city that hides a host of eccentric spots that are delightfully off the beaten track, it took us long enough to discover historic corners lots of Egyptians never really been to. It may seem there’s little to see in Cairo that hasn’t been covered in local or national guides, but those who know realize that the most popular cities can offer the best stretches that don’t draw the crowds, but are equally worthy of a visit. In the past year, we have decided to take our passion to a professional level, so we started guiding people around the most iconic attractions of the old Cairo, especially Al Moez street and its hidden treasures and best-kept secrets.
Some drinks/snacks on our way. and a traditional Egyptian lunch. If you’re a vegetarian or have specific requirements, please…
Transportation will be via a car with A/C. and the Nile flouka is covered.
