About your host

I'm a professional photographer based in SH. After leaving a career in film many years ago, I decided to follow my heart, and do what I love. I picked up a camera when I first arrived in Asia 15 years ago, and I've been shooting ever since. It's lead me to a career working with top property developers in Mainland China and Hong Kong, as well as brands like Red Bull, Converse and Four Seasons.

What we’ll do

Great ready for some awesome urban photography in the heart of central Shanghai, the Former French Concession (FFC) with a Shanghai resident of 12 years. We'll trek high and low for the best views and cityscapes the city has to offer. First, we'll do a rooftop shoot overlooking the expansive FFC, and then a short walk to the stacked overpasses along the Yan An Expressway where great photo-ops…

What else you should know

Please bring your own camera. I'd suggest a DLSR as the photography will take place from dusk to dark. I'll have one tripod for guests to share. Experienced and inexperienced photographers welcome!

What I’ll provide

Equipment
one tripod The tripod provided is to share between the guests. If you want to have a tripod at all times for yourself, please bring one.

What to bring

Where you'll be

Apartment rooftop. My apartment building's rooftop. I love this spot for shooting the city. Pedestrian overpass under the Yanan expressway. A fantastic photo-op with an interesting past. Huaihai Rd. One of Shanghai's high streets and, in my opinion, the best people-watching road in all of Shanghai.
