What you'll do
You’ll discover a mysterious and colourful world of odd shapes and unusual behaviour. We will do a transect, to observe and try to identify the biodiversity. We can do some amazing macros. Then we can see some individuals in a binocular loupe. Observing arthropods is a window into an unknown universe that is very different from our own. Paying attention to these small creatures enables us to appreciate their diversity, study their behaviour, understand their adaptations and realize the importance of their activities for environmental quality.
I love nature and when I started my biology graduation I was amazed with our (Portuguese) biodiversity, as until there I didn't realise how animals we have nearby Lisbon. With more than 10 years of experience, I would like to share my knowledge about this area - my goal is to invite others to see this unique and beautiful ecosystem nearby my community. I do guided visits daily around our lagoons and I have a lot to share, as I know the best spots to be to see the most particular insects!
