What you'll do

You don't have to have a big DSLR camera or a lot of experience in photography to go with us. We do like to share our passion for Cambodia and photography. We take you in safety to special hidden locations you won't find by yourselves. *Full Instructions class and explaining camera basics and street photography if required. *Smartphones and iPhones are welcome and we will provide some info about editing and useful apps to get better results. *Useful information about the history of Phnom Penh and some information about the local customs and photography ethics. *Walking from our starting point on the riverside near the royal Palace through the interesting temple complex of Wat Ounalom. *Walking through the busy food market and the French Quarter of Phnom Penh. *Visit the alley's and local market neighborhood Orussey (Chinatown) *Meeting friendly locals, monks, fishermen, visiting an amazing Cham village and much more. *Sailing the public ferry to cross the Tonle Sap and Mekong rivers to discover unknown and more rural parts of Phnom Penh. *Visiting pagoda school and meeting friendly and curious young monks at their working and worshiping places. *Watching lotus fields and the Mekong river at sunset in the magical moment time of light. *Return to our starting point.

Michael

Professional Photographer Michael Klinkhamer is leading daily an exciting and safe photography workshop-class, in Phnom Penh-Cambodia. During our photo workshop, you will get to see unique off-the-beaten-track locations and meet local people and learn/experience photography tips. Michael is a pro photographer with +25 years of experience, living in Cambodia and teaches photo classes at universities and holds regularly photo exhibitions in cultural centers and art galleries in Cambodia. When you like to explore and improve your photography in a somewhat overwhelming and always magical Phnom Penh, and could use inspiration and guidance in a safe environment don't miss this opportunity. Michael has extensive experience in professional photography both in analog and film and in digital. He offers his exciting photography workshop since 2013.

Where you'll be

We will meet and start our experience at Eric Kayser Artisan Boulanger. Conveniently located on the Riverside. One block from the Ounalom Pagoda. Visit a local Buddhist temple and meet some friendly monks. French colonial quarters and local markets. Crowded and vibrant Chinatown market and hidden alleys and interesting shadow side streets. Cross the Mekong River and explore a local village on the banks of the river. Rural countryside.
