I am tour guide and environmental educator, I've been working in tourisme around three years. I do birdwatching five years ago and is what I most love to do. I found the birds watching as a way to promote the knowledge and love for the nature and to make people around the world, part of the conservation.

Where you'll be

We would visit Cocora Valley a natural place where we would meet Colombia's national tree and probably the national bird, the Andean Condor. We would visit La Montaña ranger station at 2.860 m.a.s.l. A place full of colorfull flowers, birds, butterflies, insects and bettles.

If you love nature, hikes and birds this is an experience for you! Jorge's explanations of the fauna and flora were incredibly thorough and informative. It took us a bit longer to return as we too our time to talk and enjoy the views. It's an immersive experience worth trying. The ground can get a bit steep at times so it's important to bring good shoes.

Truly wonderful experience starting with the location, the scenery, the hike, and the company. Jorge is dynamic and friendly. Passionate about the area, and is technically solid, weaving great stories about the flora and fauna in the area. On my request also had the experience in Spanish. Not only a beautiful place, but a truly instructive experience. Highly recommended.

Me and my Brother received great insights of what is really going on in the world of flora and fauna of the Salento region. Our host was friendly and really enjoyed what he was doing. This reflected on the whole experience. We are grateful we were able to the trip with him. I do advise him to any person that want to get to know more about the Salento region and it’s flora and fauna. Great experience!
