Ghost and True Crime Walking Tour

New Orleans, United States

Experience hosted by Christopher

90 mins
Up to 10 people
Hosted in English

What you'll do

This is a tour for adults only (17+).

I don't pull punches on the grim and gory details of the stories you'll hear. This tour explores the disturbing secrets and truths about New Orleans, going back to the founding of the colony.

We will meet at the entrance of The Jazz Museum (the Old U.S. Mint), and descend into the French Quarter to discuss tales of prostitution, witchcraft, New Orleans' most gruesome murder, and a ghostly, ever-changing parade of New Orleans’ most wicked characters. You’ve heard rumor of the ‘The Dim Corner’ - now immerse yourself in its disturbing truth.

The tour covers approximately a mile of distance over 1.5 hours, but you won't be counting steps. There will be no less than seven stops of haunted sites and former crime scenes. These stories are unlike any other tour for the simple fact that we dive deep into the specific details of some of the goriest stories New Orleans has to offer. Which is why this is an adult only experience. If you want a PG-13 experience with kids, my tour is not for you. Groups are always 14 people or less.

This tour is especially for aficionados of New Orleans who already know all about the LaLaurie Mansion and are looking to dive deeper into America’s Most Haunted City.

Where you'll be

We say "Hi" and check-in the entrance of The Jazz Museum (the Old U.S. Mint). After our introduction, We will walk the lantern lit streets of the French Quarter and visit sites such as the location New Orleans' most gruesome murder took place, the statue of Joan of Arc, where our famous Queen of Witchcraft once presided, and much more. The locations of these tales would not be found without an expert that was raised in this neighborhood.

My expectations are always high. Christo met them all with amazing story telling, vocal projection and inflection and his knowledge of history. The best part was his love for it all. Added bonus, the time was perfect with the sunset. Do not leave New Orleans without this experience.

This was a super great tour! Time literally flew by and even when other tours passed by us I could tell other people were half asleep and or jealous of our tour. Christo was super lively and very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend!!

Christo's tour through the French Quarter far exceeded my expectations. I was interested in learning more about the city's history of vice and darkness so I'm glad I found this experience that walks you through the exact areas of town where everything happened. Christo has done his homework on the history and delivers facts to you with passion in a well organized plan. If you have any interest in the darker side of New Orleans, don't leave town before doing this tour!

A great historical account of the dark past of NOLA, Christo was our guide and he was an awesome storyteller. It was raining the day of our tour and he reached out to remind us to bring coverage. We learned a lot and would take this tour again. Thanks for a great experience!
