About your host

Wildcrafting and foraging for over 10 years, my husband and I process and create delicious and unique local food concoctions. We know what's wild and fresh and how to sustainably harvest it so we can share it with you.

What we’ll do

Each week, we process whatever local and/or wild foods we have gathered. We dehydrate fruits to make fruit leather, dry wild mushrooms for use later in soups, make nettle tea and other various soups, sauces and syrups. Guests gather in the kitchen to join in the fun, assisting in the processing and learning about the local and wild foods as part of the experience. We will sample and taste a…

What I’ll provide

Snacks and Tasting menu
Sample wildcrafted foods from previous workshops, as well as whatever we produce during the workshop. We also provide light snacks and appetizers accompanied by your choice of beverages: a glass of wine, hot tea, fresh water, etc.

Where you'll be

Workshop takes place in our kitchen and living room at The Forest Farmstead, our organic permaculture farm and food forest homestead by the Salish Sea / Hood Canal.

Any experience can be cancelled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase.

Communication policy

Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside of the Airbnb website or app.

Guest requirements

Up to 6 guests ages 10 and up can attend.

Government ID

You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.
