What you'll do
We will meet at the entrance to La Cathedral in El Zocalo (Metro station Zocalo, exit: La Catedral). DO NOT ENTER PAST GATE. We will walk about 13 minutes to reach the market, observing the locals selling their wares on the street. I will then guide you through the stalls of the market that sell festive clothes, such as the traditional dresses of Jalisco, full of colors, the large skirts of Ballet Folklorico, and their accompanying shirts, and Quinceañera dresses. Besides introducing you to the hidden location, I will translate into Spanish what you would like to say to the merchants, such as size, price, colors, trying on items, and help bargain. This is invaluable to keep you from paying tourist prices, or to buy exactly what you desire. After we will return to the Zocalo. A few important things: WE ARE SHOPPING EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE ABOVE ITEMS (females clothes), although all genders are welcome. Bring about 1000mxn in cash, secured. You are not obligated to buy anything, but it is recommended that if you see something for good price, BUY IT! Why? It is virtually impossible to find these items outside of Jalisco (except for Quinceañera dresses). And you be will supporting the locals by doing so! WIN-WIN! THIS IS NOT A HISTORY TOUR. Please adjust your expectations accordingly. I am here to help you shop for the most memorable clothing that you will ever own!

We will meet in the Historic Center, in the largest plaza in Latin America (El Zocalo), in front of the cathedral. After a 13 minute walk down a pedestrian pathway and around a corner, we will arrive to a large, hidden clothing market that is known only to locals of the area.
