What you'll do

I will meet you at your accommodation in the morning we'll spend a half day together learning about and exploring local artisan food makers in the Niseko area. I'll share my insider knowledge with you and educate you about the history of each location, where the ingredients are grown and how the food is made. We will sample food and meet some interesting characters. I'll make all of the arrangements. All you need to do is sit back, relax, and let me take you on a journey of discovery.

Kirsten

Originally from the US, I’m a local foodie based in Niseko, Japan. I've spent years eating my way around the world and I just knew I had to relocate to Hokkaido. The scenery, the culture, and the food are like nowhere else on earth! Through my own exploration I found that there were a multitude of local, artisan food makers in the Niseko area. Many don't advertise, or if they do there are no English translations. I hired a translator and set out to demystify the local food scene. I learned the history of each establishment, where the ingredients come from, how everything is made, what tastes the best and what keeps customers coming back. The local proprietors have an infectious pride and passion for what they do and they were excited to share it with me. I’m so excited to share my knowledge and experience with you!
