Learn basic sheep and goat tending.
See varying fencing options for your own herd, and how and what they need for optimal health.

See which type of goats would work best for your needs. Play, walk and mill about the working farm.

Fix a fence.
Find an endangered species.
Restore your soul as you play in the mud and play with our crew!

For 13 years our mixed herd has organically rejuvenated years of overgrazing on our family farm.
Medicinal herbs and rizomes are planted strategically, protected species are flourishing, and gentle pasture management with sheep, goats and horses, help keep our family farm open for wildlife. DOE RAM ME specifically breeds Karakul, the oldest domesticated sheep in the world, mixed breed goats for meat, personal dairy consumption add to natural forest management as our herd rejuvenates the land and soil with their pesticide free pellets. Our horses guard them. The Indomitable Spirit of the horse that gives us silly humans wings to fly tether us to the vibrational heartbeat of the our mother : earth.

Come restore your soul with a walkabout and love on our furry friends.

ALOHA.

So much fun! This is a perfect outdoor educational activity for my two animals loving daughters. We had a great time and got to walk around with the animals.

Our walk was fantastic and personalized to just for my daughter and I. El is an enthusiastic and creative storyteller and loves to share her gifts with the world. We got up close and personal with all the animals on the farm - horses, goats, sheep, cats - or not too close based on our comfort level. :) Fantastic experience - highly recommend if you are in the area!

Awesome time with animals, if you’re looking to interact with farm animals this is it! We got to go on a long walk with the animals following. Petting animals, walking, chatting with Elizabeth. The property is beautiful but also some tall grass and trees to walk through, wear long pants and boots. We will definitely be back!

This adventure was the GOAT -- all puns intended. El has tons of experience raising animals and was a delight to learn from. The goats and sheep were so vivacious, full of personality. We absolutely would visit again!

A wonderful experience! It is a wonderful two hour stroll with a bunch of very friendly and playful goats and Elizabeth who is happy to answer all of your questions. An absolute treasure of an experience right outside Charlottesville.

This was SO much fun!! I couldn’t stop laughing for the first 15 minutes. My husband and was reluctant to go, but was as thrilled as I was. El is amazing with the animals, calling each one by name. It is a magical experience that I highly recommend. All of our questions were answered. I plan to go again when my BFF visits. THANKS El
