What you'll do
Collaborate and create your own unique artworks in a professional printmaking studio. You will learn to create your highly expressive artwork from your own reference images by using monoprinting techniques and materials in a friendly environment where new ideas and ways are not only welcomed but encouraged. Monoprinting is a way of making a one-of-a-kind artwork using a variety of inks and printmaking tools to create and transfer an image to paper using an artist press. Come and enjoy a day of creative experimentation and expression with a master printmaker guiding you along the way.

Johann Booyens studied fine arts and design achieving his masters degree in printmaking (2015) Cum Laude. He has worked as printmaker with many world renowned artist and has produced work for exhibitions in China, Finland, USA, Europe and countless local galleries. Johann is deeply passionate about art and creativity as agent for change in an increasing uncertain world. He is accommodating towards anyone who believes he or she has the ability to create something of beauty, no matter the level of experience or skill. For him, anyone, young and old is a latent artist.

Bring along your holiday pictures or any other picture you would like to use as reference for your artwork, camera and a packed lunch. A apron is also handy but can be provided if necessary.
