What you'll do

At The Round you'll get a behind the scenes look at a multi-arts event, meet the artists if you'd like, talk with staff & volunteers, and get up close & personal with the art. You can even buy a painting that was created right in front of you! This special event features 3 singer/songwriters and often guest musicians, many of whom usually perform in well known local or touring bands. (Check out our website for listings.) They'll be cross-collaborating onstage with a performance poet and each other, while playing their individual songs. It's a unique experience added to even more by a live painter or two creating on the side of the stage while you watch & listen. The musicians, poet, and painter are all professional artists who often perform at much larger venues. You'll get a chance to meet most of the artists and as time allows potentially even talk with them about their process before or after the show. Just ask!

Nathan, Juliann, & Ashley

I love the experience of live music in a welcoming beautiful space. So many club shows are rowdy and audiences are being jostled or hassled half the time, or watching the show through someone else's phone the rest of the time. Not at our venues. I want to create unique music moments that help us open up emotions and really breathe in and feel the music. I started booking shows in college, launched a music & charity nonprofit called Bands Without Borders, and now run nonprofit concerts & multi-arts events in 4 different historic spaces around Seattle. Hope to see you soon!
