What you'll do
Portugal is best known for its food, and our seafood is at the top of our culinary expertise due to its quality, variety, flavor, and also, simplicity. During this mouthwatering experience, I will take you to my favorite seafood restaurants and ensure you taste dishes as the locals do. In a very laid back atmosphere, I will share where the portuguese oysters come from, how do locals eat shrimps, the history behind the most famous clam's recipe, the traditions around mussels and the best kept secret of eating crab, among other dishes and curiosities. This itinerary is also an invitation for you to get away from the city center and get to know one of the most beautiful road that connects Alcântara to Cascais. Along this car journey you will have breathtaking views over the Atlantic Ocean and you will some iconic monuments, such as Belém Tower, the Pattern of the Discoveries, the Citadel and unforgettable promenade of Guincho.
We are Vanessa and Tiago, two siblings who grew up united by our common passion for food, traveling, and for the city we were born in—Lisbon. During our travels, we always like to experiment and sample each culture through its local food. For us, food is the only universal thing that brings different cultures and religions together. It will be our pleasure to help you discover, taste, and experience the real Lisbon through the places, food, drinks, and stories that make up this city. It will be an invitation to "sea Lisbon" through all your senses.
Seafood tastings We'll provide eight tastings: oysters, octopus salad, clams, mussels, shrimp - grilled and boiled - crab and…
Three pairing drinks We'll provide drinks for pairing, including local beer and Vinho Verde—green wine.
Transportation We'll provide transportation to and from our meeting point.

Where you'll be
We'll take you to three locations along the beautiful coastline, where you will have an authentic experience of tasting the best seafood from my favorite local places. We'll start at Alcântara, the city's biggest marina over the iconic 'Golden Gate' bridge. After, we'll head to Cascais, a former fishing village with a royal heritage. We will then end in Guincho, a promenade over the most western point of European Continent.
