What you'll do

My experience will help point in the right direction towards your first remote job in your field. We'll meet in a local coffee shop. First, I'll explain what it takes to work remotely and what do you need to start. I'll show you where to find remote jobs. Next, I'll tell you all the secrets I know about using the websites I recommend and the best strategies to land your first remote job. Before you leave, you'll have an action list so you'll know your next steps to find your dream remote job. As a bonus, I'll give you a list of additional resources and companies hiring remotely. You don't need to be in any particular field to benefit from my Airbnb Experience. I know of remote opportunities in many fields from administrative to creative jobs, law, medical (yes, even a nurse or a doctor can get a remote job!), and so on. Based on your skills and experiences, you can often find a great job in your field. You'll be surprised by how many people in a variety of fields are able to make a living remotely. And yes, it helps if you know how to use a computer because that's probably the one skill you'll be using a lot while working remotely. ;)

Learn more about Michaela

Michaela

I left a large NGO to work as a remote eLearning instructional design freelancer. Since then, I've been lucky to work on projects for companies like Apple, Google, Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft, and more. Remote work changed my life in many ways. The biggest benefit is that I can spend much more time with my family and I have the freedom to travel whenever and wherever I want. I can also work from wherever I want - local coffee shops are my favorite places. I enjoy speaking at events about remote work and I love sharing knowledge with local groups and online. I'm passionate about teaching others about remote work. I believe there are plenty of opportunities for people in all sorts of fields.
