What you'll do

We will meet at my home in West Sedona, where the group will spend a few moments getting to know one another over coffee or tea. During this time, if you have any specific health goals regarding plant medicine, we will decide on the best approach for the day's medicine making. Along the way, you will learn about the trees and plants of the area. One of my favorite topics is the medicine and mythology of trees, evidenced in cultures and native medicines from around the world - unsung healing superheros; both the heart and backbone of the Wood Wide Web :) we utilize roots, barks, needles, fruits/berries and flowers in our medicine making.

As we learn about the medicinal trees, plants and herbs, we will be working with the ingredients you’ve just learned about, which I have gathered and made ready. You will learn how to make a salve out of herb infused oil and beeswax, and you will make a jar of your own Sedona medicine to take home with you.

Supplies are ethically and sustainably wild harvested, and/or sources from certified organic growers. All supplies are provided for you.

Other things to note
Any allergies need to be disclosed. Also, during COVID my group size is set to 2. If you have a larger group, I can accommodate up to 5 people AS LONG AS YOU'RE ALL IN THE SAME GROUP. Just let me know and I’ll increase your requested class size.

A true local, I’ve lived in Sedona my whole life. As a child, I spent most of my time outdoors, either on my horse, my mountain bike or my own two feet. I learned about all the wild medicine surrounding me on the go, and often by necessity.

As an adult, I formalized my education through The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and continued that education into clinical herbalism, with a focus on wild medicine native to Northern Arizona. I've studied healing modalities and approaches from all over the world, and my goal is to bring back the wisdom of the elders, be they Native American, European, South American or Islanders. This world is bursting with wild medicine waiting to be rediscovered.

Kali is a very caring and knowledgeable herbalist! She taught me how to connect to some local plants that I had no prior knowledge to. The class was so fun and easy. And then checked out her apothecary full of all kinds of remedies at very affordable prices. Definitely would take her classes in the future!

Kali was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Such great Healing potions, lotions, tinctures and concoctions. And of course i love that you get to bring home the salve that you make of your choosing. It was a lovely homey atmosphere, clean, and a lovely set up. A great experience beyond our expectations. Also a great connection for natural healing products for the future! Kali Rocks!!!!! We added this experience after most of our trip was coordinated. Her class ended up being the group FAV! She took the time to teach us and listened to our concerns. She thinks we are kidding, however, if she ever holds a course/internship -we will be there! Kali, we will see you again and thank you for changing our lives :)

This experience with Kali was interesting and enjoyable. We learned how to make our own salves while listening to her stories. We soaked up the knowledge she has about nature and its elements. Kali was polite and patient with us, answered all our questions, and we never felt rushed. If you want to make your own salve or are curious about what you can make from the environment, we recommend this experience wholeheartedly!❧ She also showed us her apothecary and we loved sampling her creations.❧

This experience was very informative. I loved that we were able to personalize our salve. Her apothecary has many items for purchase and it was very laid back buying experience. Would like to do more classes.
