About your host

Analogue photography is my heartfelt passion. I am always eager to meet new people wo share this feeling and am happy to pass on the knowledge and experiance I gained through the years, working on personal art projects or as a professional darkroom printer for other artists´ portfolios and exhibitions. In my workshops I don´t stop the clock, but rather want you to have a great learning…

What we’ll do

Learn how to develop your black and white films and have insight into the darkroom routines of a professional analogue photographer and lab technician. We will talk about the different black and white films available on the market, which chemicals to choose and I will give advice how to set up your own analogue darkroom. You will develop your own black and white film and even take an excursion…

What else you should know

Bring an exposed film with you, you would like to develop. Maybe the roll of film you shot during your stay in Berlin? Any classic black and white film will work (except the film Ilford XP-2)

What I’ll provide

Drinks
Coffee + water available
Transportation
Easy accessable by public transport
Equipment
Chemicals and equipment, are all included. Just bring yourself and your film.

What to bring

Where you'll be

We will meet in my professionaly equipped photolab located in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg called "Analog Fineprint Service". This is the place where I usually develop films and make darkroom prints on silvergelatin fiber papers for my own artworks or as a hired printer for the analogue Berlin art scene.
