What you'll do

☆just fresh green season ☆ We look forward to your reservation! First of all, you'll be able to choose the pure silk kimono whatever you like, and I'll talk about this fascinating garment while you are trying on your kimono. We'll discuss the texture, meaning of the design, and the relationship between the kimono and the four seasons in Japan. I'll hand out this information and you'll become a kimono connoisseur. A hairstylist will set up your hair. Then, we'll have a photoshoot. I'll take some pictures of you in the kimono by the Meguro Riverside or the Megurogajoen. Make sure you bring your camera. The Meguro River is famous for lots of Sakura trees. If it rains, you'll enjoy the photoshoot in the tatami room at my kimono studio. We'll come back to my studio and take a break with matcha and Japanese sweets after we’re finished talking photos. My kimono collections are authentic Japanese formal kimono for Japanese. You can get a feel for the differences between my collections and for tourist’s kimonos. This program open : Oct.〜Jun.

Yoshie

Hi, my name is Yoshie. I’m kimono teacher in Tokyo. I’ve opened my own kimono school and teach my students about how to wear a kimono. When I was child, my mother dressed me up in a beautiful kimono, set my hair, and put on my makeup. It was a very very special time for me—and I felt like a princess. So now, I hope that many people become familiar with this wonderful traditional attire. Try wearing and learning about this garment, and let's enjoy the wonderful kimono world together!

Where you'll be

We'll meet up at Meguro Station on the Yamanote Line. (Or the Toei Mita Subway Line, Namboku Subway Line, Tokyu Meguro Line. ) We go to the wagashi shop directly connected to the station. It’s most long-established shop at Meguro-city. It's a 10-minute walk from Meguro Station to my kimono studio. Meguro Riverside is one minute from my studio and is known for its magnificent cherry blossom trees.
