What you'll do
After seeing examples designed to encourage and inspire; You will learn how to transfer a chosen design onto your A5 lino and cut safely using a variety of marks. You will be shown how to colour mix and roller the ink to the correct consistency to achieve a great print. Next you will print onto good quality paper, on blank cards, or fabric (you may bring a T Shirt or similar) You'll be shown hand printing methods or use of the press to transfer your print several times for a set of prints to take home. You will take your lino home to make more prints whenever you want.
I simply love to share my ideas and technical skills to advance the creativity of others. I have been an artist and professional Art and Design Lecturer for many years in the post 16 college sector and currently teach on Foundation, BTec and Access courses. My own work shows in exhibitions and open studios.
