What you'll do
So far, I have hosted guests from around the world (over 25 countries). I have celebrated birthdays with them, shared beautiful conversations and unforgettable moments with them. I can accommodate all dietary requirements (vegetarian, gluten free, etc.) It will be a small group, so we will all do the cooking together. It will be interactive, rather than demonstrative. - We will start with ‘Garam Masala’. And no, it’s not just “curry powder”. It’s the basis of understanding individual spices. I will teach you how to blend them to *your* taste. You will all get to grind your own blend! - Quick demonstration of making homemade yoghurt, paneer or ghee (its much cheaper than buying it off the shelf AND IT IS MAGIC) - A basic (yet full of flavour) curry lesson, and here I will teach you how this basic recipe can turn from a healthy weekday meal into a weekend feast. - I will show you a magic trick of how to make amazing rice. - We will feast on what we cook YOU WILL ALSO RECEIVE A HANDOUT OF THE DAY’S LESSONS. Remember, this is all about learning that we Indians do eat Indian food regularly, so it’s obviously not as complicated as you think it is.
Whatever we cook
Stove Stove, microwave, oven
I have lived, cooked and eaten in India for 18 years of my life. Of course I do not pretend to know every recipe in a country of 29 states, 22 (official) languages and a similar range of cuisines. But I do know techniques that will teach you what Indian home-cooking is all about. It can be a feast if you want it to be one. It can be a 30-minute easy meal if you want. I have a repertoire of hundreds of ancient and contemporary recipes that will make you realise, curry is not where we stop. ;) Qualification? Does winning hearts with feeding friends and family count?

Where you'll be
ONLY 2 STOPS AWAY FROM KING'S CROSS STATION! We will meet at my place. Why? Because it’s all about Indian HOMEcooking. Not about becoming a restaurant chef. I want it to be homely and realistic. I want to show you my spice rack and that I actually use every technique I show you.
