What you'll do
"Everything profound loves a disguise" is a group activity for people interested in diving the contemporary art world. We visit contemporary art exhibitions and discuss about the content, mixing art history, sociology, politics, philosophy and other knowledges, opening and broadening the artist-s, curator-s or both researches, while adding personal content that all the participants may and most probably have. The experience opens up as an event to "reflect together" while building a plot collaboratively. It works as an alternative to the traditional guided tour. It is aimed to joyfully overcome prejudices and fears that the contemporary art world may project on us. Its objective is to use artworks as points of departure for an analysis of which we cannot control the result. Departing from this aim and objective, we´ll try to activate unconscious knowledge to fuel the experience of thinking, feeling and learning together. Heterogeneous backgrounds are encouraged for enriching the experience. We will visit a number of renowned art institutions and museums, as well as private galleries and independent spaces in Buenos Aires, depending on the participants´interests.
I am an art researcher and curator based between Buenos Aires and Europe. I have a BA in Contemporary art curating and management from ESEADE-Philadelphia, BA and an MA in Contemporary Art Theory from Goldsmiths, University of London. I´ve been also a fellow of Torcuato Di Tella University Artists Programme for artists, curators and critics (Buenos Aires, 2015) and Saas-Fee Summer School in Art Praxis and Poiesis of Cognitive Capitalism (Berlin, 2018). In 2018 I received a scholarship from Argentina´s National Fund of the Arts to travel to Italy to develop my research. My work experience entails assisting artists, curators, being content assessor, coordinator and producer of art workshops for Centro Cultural Kirchner, and assistant and producer of contemporary art galleries. Since 2018 I work as an independent curator and researcher.
