About your host

I am the President and founding member of Free Tree Society. I'm also a hobby farmer and have an off-grid home. I believe that encouraging people to form a bond with nature is the cornerstone of solving climate change; you have to love the environment to want to save it. I'm happy to teach you about sustainable practices, our role in environmental stewardship and gardening in the tropics.

The Free Tree Society nursery is located in the bustling suburb of Bangsar just 5km from the city centre of Kuala Lumpur. It is nestled beside a small patch of jungle. Public transportation is via the LRT or MRT lines to Bangsar. Buses stop at the end of Jalan Limau Purut (on Lorong Maarof close to the Petronas station). We are a 2 minute walk from there.
