Pedro Kirilos

I'm a media journalist, photographer, and videomaker with more than 15 years experience. I was born in Brasilia and I've lived in Maceió, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo. I document stories in an audiovisual way, and have created web content for events, such as Rio 2016 and World Olympics Cup 2014, and have covered social conflicts and the political environment for print and digital media. Since 2016, I've worked for main newspapers in Portugal as a freelancer, which allows me to carry on projects with multimedia linked to the Master of Design in Fine Arts of University of Porto.

Where you'll be

We'll be in Baixa do Porto to focus on moving photography, anticipation of moments, street food, monuments, squares, and wide angles. We'll visit Ribeira to capture ruelas and alleys, nostalgia, portraiture, and converse with local residents. In Sé do Porto, we'll use telephoto to search for details in the city's largest church. We'll go to Jardim do Morro for incredible sunsets, views, and to study landscape photography techniques and backlight.
