Learn more about Manatee Conservation

Manatee Conservation

Tony: I founded the Caribbean Stranding Network and the Puerto Rico Manatee Conservation Center. I've devoted my life to helping save the manatee population in the Caribbean. Marina: I am one of the Community Outreach Technicians for the Manatee Conservation Center. I rescued my first manatee in 2011 when I was 12 and now I educate people about their conservation.

About the organization

Centro de Conservación de Manatíes de Puerto Rico

Our center, an alliance between the 501c3 non-profit Caribbean stranding network and the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, focuses on manatee conservation through four actions: rescue and stranding response; rehabilitation and veterinary care; population research; and community outreach. We also tend to sea turtles and marine birds that are found sick, ill, or injured on our island.

This is a social impact experience where 100% of what you pay for this experience goes to Centro de Conservación de Manatíes de Puerto Rico.
