What you'll do
Buildings by architect Von Jour Caux are art monuments in the urban environment. He is very unique Japanese architect—you cannot forget his architecture once you have seen it, because of the outstanding decorative building facade. His ornamental design can also be seen in the interior entrance halls—those artworks are collaborations with his artist friends. If you are lucky, you might meet the architect himself when we visit the building where his office is located. He is 84 years old and very friendly.
I teach the history of Japanese architecture at Keio University. I love to meet new people and communicate with them. My experience is mainly a guided exploration of architecture, but I would also like to show other interesting spots, such as restaurants, cafes, and shops where local people go.
