What you'll do
On this delicious gastro adventure you'll not only get a perfect day of eating with local foodie but you'll also learn a little about Hungarian history, traditions, & culture along the way. I'll take you off the beaten path, to local eateries & shops not frequented by all the regular tourists. The experience begins with a visit at "Belvárosi Piac" the downtown market hall on Hold utca (NOT to be confused with the Central Market Hall) and continues with a walk in the down town with stops at a local butcher shop, a cute little coffee house and finishes at a neighborhood pub in the Jewish Quarter for a taste of locally made artisanal beers or wine. Take a look to some of the tastings you're gonna enjoy: 1.) Hungarian cheese specialities 2.) Selection of Hungarian salamis 3.) 'Lángos' (fried Hungarian flat bread) 4.) 'Kolbász & Hurka' (sausages & pickled vegetables) 5.) 'Túró Rudi' (a chilled chocolate covered dessert) 6.) 'Kürtőskalács' (a sweet dough pastry covered in sugar) 7.) 'Flódni' (Jewish-Hungarian cake with 4 different fillings) 8.) Variety of craft beers, local wine or soft drink Come with an appetite, You won’t leave hungry!
