We have a Science classroom for experiments, an AV Room for films and have developed a number of activities that can take place in the aquarium, like engineering trails and treasure hunts. A lot of our visitors wish to connect with the environment and we offer both Grassland and Seashore outdoor classroom events as well. Our visitors can participate in local beach cleans, which is great for the environment and personal well being. Galway Atlantaquaria is located alongside the wonderful Galway Bay in Salthill, so is perfect for you to enjoy our famous Wild Atlantic Way experience. We are only delighted to tell you more about our aquarium, animals and culture, we hope to see you soon!
At the Aquarium all out staff are highly qualified in their chosen marine sciences field. We have all started as volunteers in the Aquarium, so our passion for the animals comes through our interactive and engaging tours and one-to-ones. We have all worked in the aquarium for over five years and we know an awful lot about the native species of Ireland. We have had some great reviews from many visitors who have enjoyed learning about the sea and its marine life through our ability to tell stories. Indeed our stories, soon become your stories as you will never forget your aquarium experience.
