What you'll do
This is your chance to experience Edinburgh in a unique way, from above as the sunrises over it. It is an early start in the dark as we need to be at the top of Arthur's Seat ready to see the sunrise. However, it will be worth it once we are at the summit, watching the sunlight come up over the sea while we warm ourselves with a hot drink and enjoy a homemade (haggis) sausage roll. It’s might a dark start through Holyrood Park, but it gets light quickly. It is quite challenging, with 251 metres ascent, it was a volcano after all! But we take it at your pace and with incredible views the whole way, we stop for plenty of photos. The route is around 2 miles and the experience takes around 2 hours dependent on the speed of the group and the weather! You do need to be prepared for (very) windy and chilly weather and be dressed in warm winter outdoor clothing and shoes. In the case of rain we may not be able to see a sunrise, but the tour will still go ahead. Please ignore current experience photos as these are not accurate I can arrange this tour and other walking and running ones for other times than sunrise, just message

I moved up to Scotland because I love running and being outdoors. Edinburgh is the perfect location for me as I get to live in an awesome city too! I am a qualified personal trainer and nutrition coach and a keen trail and mountain runner. I also run (pun intended!) Edinburgh Run Tours which means I get to share my passion with people from all over the world on a daily basis. As you can probably tell, I love all things health and fitness, but I will never say no to some Scottish shortbread or Edinburgh Gin! www.edinburghruntours.com

Where you'll be
We start by walking from the meeting point into Holyrood Park where we then start the route up to the top of Arthur's Seat for 360 degree views over the city, hills and sea. On the way down we will go a slightly different route for more incredible views over the city and park, before walking back to the start.
