About Guide Dogs

Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss that has a significant impact on their daily lives. Of those, around 180,000 rarely leave their homes alone and lead lonely, isolated lives. The charity Guide Dogs aims to help people with sight loss feel part of life, by providing the support to get out of their homes and be able to live their lives the way they choose.
This is a social impact experience where 100% of what you pay for this experience goes to Guide Dogs. .

What we’ll do

Meet young guide dogs and their trainers, learn about their role and what the Guide Dogs charity does to prepare these beautiful animals for their vital role. Hear about what a guide dog means to their user, meet the trainers and their dogs and then have a go at being guided by a dog whilst blindfolded round an obstacle course. The centre is a bus ride or taxi ride away from the tube station. By tube: Woodford is the nearest tube station (Central Line). The training centre is 1.5 miles from the tube. Parking is available.

Where you'll be

The experience will take place at the working Guide Dogs training centre in Redbridge which can be accessed via the Woodford station on the Central line tube. The experience will take place both indoors and outdoors at the training centre.
