About your host

We are Michael and Rose, and our family has lived on Crocane Farm for seven or more generations. Rose and I began our journey and interest in green energy in 1999. It has been a long and eventful journey that we would love to share with our guests. We love renewables and hope in the future to build a solar farm on our land. We have begun this journey so fingers crossed we will succeed. We look…

What we’ll do

We live and work on the Crocane Eco Farm. As part of the farm, we built and operate a two turbine wind farm. We would love to show you around our farm and wind farm, and have you see a working turbine from the outside and inside. We will also present our green energy story over a cup of coffee or tea and Home baked scones and jam

What else you should know

A pair of strong walking boots or wellies would be a good idea as the road up to the wind farm is not paved.

What I’ll provide

Juice, Tea, Water and Other
Delicious home baked scones and jam

What to bring

boots or wellies and outdoor clothing

Where you'll be

We will meet at the entrance to the wind farm, and we'll walk through the farmland up the hill to the wind turbines. We'll look inside to see what the interior of a wind turbine is like. After chatting about green energy, we will walk to the house and have some tea or coffee and sandwiches. We will then give a presentation on our journey to green energy on our farm.
