What you'll do
In our large kitchen, we will work together with hands-on learning for up to two and a half hours to prepare a two-course meal. We divvy up the tasks to prepare the recipes, and when there is a key learning or concept, Diane will do a demonstration for the group and then turn it over to you to complete because she believes the best way to learn is to do! You will receive all recipes. If we work quickly and our time allows it, Diane will add other recipes to the program. After the lesson, we'll go to the table and enjoy the fruits of our labor, along with a glass of wine. During nice weather, we will enjoy al fresco dining at one of the patios or under the centuries-old trees in the park. In total, we can expect to spend about four hours together. If the group size is small, Diane will try to accommodate special requests about something you'd like to learn - don't hesitate to ask!
Diane (Eric's wife) is a chef with over 12 years experience. She'll share her love of cooking, with professional techniques and little tricks to help make cooking in your kitchen faster and more fun . She selects high quality ingredients sourced straight from local farms and transforms them into traditional French dishes, with flavours from around the globe. She can also show you French country cooking, Mediterranean-inspired dishes, and healthy alternatives where natural ingredients are left to shine.
Lunch This will consist of what we prepare in the cooking lesson. Wine and water are included.
Coffee or tea This will be offered at the beginning of the lesson as we go over our recipes.
Equipment Aprons are provided, as are all the cutting boards, knives, and kitchen equipment required.

Where you'll be
We will hold the cooking lesson in the spacious kitchen of Château Ladausse. It is semi-professionally equipped, but there are many everyday appliances that you will also have in your own home. There are two work stations which can comfortably fit five people each. Seating is available in case anyone decides they would prefer to watch instead of participate.
