What you'll do

The apartment has a 50m2 main living room in beautiful period style with stunning views to the Budapest synagogue. The building itself is architecturally one of the most important in Budapest with mosaics by the renowned Roth, Miksa and is registered as a "yellow star" building significant for its former role as housing jewish occupants deported in the second world war so is steeped in history. The event itself will compromise a short talk about the building and it's history followed by a concert by Mariann Marczi performing works by Schubert and Liszt amongst others. Current Program Schubert: 6 moments musicaux Schubert: Hüttenbrenner variations Liszt: Hungarian Rhapsody no.3. All guests will receive a complimentary glass of wine and the opportunity to chat with building residents and the pianist after the concert.

We have conducted many piano events before in this apartment featured on Hungarian National Radio including a baroque keyboard cycle featuring pianists such as Petra Kiss, Tamas Kery, Tamara Moszes with works of Bach, Scarlatti, Liszt and Rameau. We have also organised one-off concerts for airbnb guests on request. I wish to combine the experiences of a talk on the unique art nouveau architecture, the history of the building and combine with music creating a unique event that allows guests to enjoy an unforgettable experience.
