What you'll do
We'll meet and greet each other at the venue, and then you'll dress up in one of the kimonos with a fan that we will lend to you. Once you're dressed in traditional Japanese attire, you will then take a two-hour dancing lesson with Grandma Shizuko, with help from English interpreters. We will take a 30-minute break during the lesson for some tea and sweets. After the dancing, you will change back into your regular clothes.
Grandma Shizuko and I are friends who've been managing an Airbnb listing together since last year. Shizuko is a regular teacher who opened a Japanese dance class in the neighborhood long ago. Now, we would like to offer people around the world the opportunity to experience Japanese dance. We hope that you will join us.
