What you'll do
Join us at our certified organic medicinal herb farm, where we will taste through a flight of herbal teas led by a trained herbalist/farmer. We will walk through the fields and get a chance to see the living plants, and learn about what these plants are used for traditionally. Guests will see how our operation functions, from growing the plants to processing and packaging. The farm is located on a "mountain top" with spectacular views of the surrounding area and Mt. Hood.
I am a trained herbalist, who decided to start a medicinal herb farm with my husband. It is a labor of love, and we cherish sharing it with others. I enjoy teaching about the character of the herbs we grow, and our farm (we prefer the term garden as we see ourselves as "tenders" of the land) is a phenomenal place that is immediately relaxing and nourishing. My husband is a builder of uncoventional styles, and I also work as a winemaker at one of the wineries in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. Being in the wine industry, with it's many tasting rooms, prompted me to begin a tea tasting!

Where you'll be
We will be on an old farmstead that has been revived, with unbelievable views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. A walking tour of the 3 acre farm will be provided. Please note that if guests plan on partaking of the walking tour, they will want to wear appropriate footwear and have full body mobility, as the land is uneven and unpaved. Located about 1.5 hrs from Portland in a very serene setting with sounds of wildlife and the breeze.
