About Cyrenians

The Cyrenians Farm is a social enterprise located just outside Edinburgh. It’s a working farm producing fruit, vegetables and eggs; it’s also home to a community of vulnerable young people, many with experience of homelessness. The Farm grows food and helps people, providing a range of opportunities for individuals to develop skills and confidence as a step towards a settled lifestyle.
This is a social impact experience where 100% of what you pay for this experience goes to Cyrenians. .

What we’ll do

This experience will give you access to our beautiful farm social enterprise. you will be hosted by the farm manager and volunteers. We will show you how to grow, manage and harvest crops such as herbs, salads, chillis, beans, beets and more. We'll then cook them together and eat them together. Be prepared for all weather. Transport is fine by car, public transport gets you close and we can help you with directions and pick up/ drop off.

What I’ll provide

Snacks and Other
We'll cook together. Many snacks I was once a chef and can share my recipes with you. Specialist diets easily catered for.. Cyrenians also manage Fareshare in our area to reduce foodwaste. We get a fine selection of snacks from them.
Endless drinks available. teas, coffee, juices, water. We even grow our own tea!
By Appointment Public transport to the farm from Edinburgh is possible with a small walk at the end. We can help you to manage that.
All tools are provided You'll need sturdy footwear and clothing suited to the weather

Where you'll be

We'll be at Cyrenians Farm, 10 miles from Edinburgh City centre in an Organic oasis in the country. We have everything we need on site to make an exceptional day for you. We'll work in our polytunnels, our professional kitchen and if the weather is good enough - in our fields. We love to have visitors at the farm and we're always ready for them.

Things to keep in mind

Cancellation policy

Any experience can be cancelled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase, or at least 7 days before the experience starts.

Communication policy

Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside of the Airbnb website or app.

Guest requirements

Up to 6 guests ages 18 and up can attend. Parents may also bring children under 2 years of age. The farm is set up for visitors of all ages and you are welcome to bring young children.
