What you'll do
You will have the unique opportunity to explore the Paicines Ranch rangeland or crop ground! You will learn about our regenerative agricultural practices and spend time with our flock! You will get to see how are sheep are put away at night to keep them safe (we call it night-penning and it is so fun to watch!) Make sure to have your camera ready and get ready for some sheep thrills! If you visit the ranch during lambing season (early spring), you may have the opportunity to help us feed the bottle babies. There is nothing like feeding a baby lamb in the midst of our rolling green hills!

Mary Rowen At The Paicines Ranch
My name is Mary and I grew up on the Paicines Ranch! The ranch is a magical place with new and innovative agricultural practices happening every day! I will introduce you to Willie, Jess, and Stephanie who manage our flock of about 400 sheep! They practice low-stress livestock handling and have a deep appreciation for these incredible animals! You will have the opportunity to see where the sheep live and experience night-penning while enjoying your favorite beverage! You will also learn about what they eat and their key role in cycling nutrients to create healthy soil and a thriving ecosystem!
Where you'll be
The ranch is 7600 acres of privately-owned farm and rangeland with incredible scenery! We practice holistic management and rotational grazing, so we are always in a different location! Every day brings a new adventure!
