What you'll do

☆Enjoy playing traditional musical instrument koto while watching Nijo Castle☆Shoot your performance with your camcorder! Koto is the most famous instrument in traditional Japanese music. The sound of the koto is elegant and very beautiful. I am a professional musician who has been teaching for 27 years, so even beginners and children can enjoy playing. ◇First, learn the basics of koto. ◇Next, we will practice the traditional Japanese song. ◇Finally, you will be able to duet with me. Please take a video to commemorate. ◇After the experience of Koto, it is tea time with green tea and traditional sweets. While enjoying drinking tea, you can enjoy traditional Japanese manners. Here is a very precious traditional Kyoto architectural residence, built 90 years ago. Because it is a private residence, travelers can not usually enter. Only experience guests can enter the house specially. The venue is in front of Nijo Castle, very accessible place. 5 minutes walk from Nijo Castle main gate.
