About your host

I am the owner of The Haven and grew up minutes from one of only three Royal distilleries in Scotland - Glenury Royal in Stonehaven. Having visited an Island, Lowland, Speyside and Highland distillery I aim to visit Islay and Campbeltown next. As a passionate lover of Scotch and provider of poetry and song at The Haven's Burns Night (which is Boston's longest running Burn's Night) we will indulge…

What we’ll do

Taste four great Single Malts as we journey through taste and time. We’ll discuss flavour and what influences it, the history behind the Scotch Industry as well as go behind the scenes with stories from the distilleries with our drams in hand. Dram night - a great way to share our love of Scotch with you in an informal manner. Whether you join us for dinner beforehand or dessert after dinner…

What else you should know

You will be consuming the equivalent of two standard drinks in one hour. Do not drive after the event.

What I’ll provide

Scotch Egg or DFMB Scottish Tapas! Choose between a Scotch Egg or Deep Fried Mars Bar as you sample your drams.
Single Malt Scotch Whisky X4 0.75oz pours of Single Malt Scotch from four different regions displaying alternative styles and flavour.
TOASTS Scottish Toasts - between the drams we will toast using Burns and other traditional verse.

What to bring

A love of all things Scottish
An open mind to Scottish Music
A sense of humour
