What you'll do
See Skye through the eyes of a local. I'd love to share with you a unique introduction to our authentic island story. There are so many ingredients that have come together over millennia, to forge our highland culture. You might not know this yet, but the events that took place on our small island of Skye have had a global impact. Our volcanos are thought to have changed the climate, and our heroes and villains have had a remarkable impact on world politics. I'll share with you the story of our geological creation... Did you know that Skye has travelled quite some way to get here? The landscape of Skye is really brought to life when you understand the immense world changing events that took place here. You'll walk through the age of the dinosaurs and hand in hand with the 'faeries' of Skye. Both once called this land home. Some still do. You'll get to know the famous clans of our lands and hear of the Highland militia men who once threatened the Kings of Scotland. Simply put, your eyes will be opened to the amazing journey of Skye that too many visitors miss out on.
Proud descendant of one of Skye most ancient and powerful families, musician, and storyteller. Sharing the romance, history, and nature of Skye is my passion! The legends and tales of warriors and kings playing out on our small island have inspired me since childhood! I have been exploring our hills and trails since I was a boy and can't wait to share with you the magic and epic views of the place I call home!

Where you'll be
Many of the best places to explore Portree aren't on the map! I love these spots because they are away from the crowds of visitors we welcome each year.
