Where you'll be
The Pedra da Gávea is considered the largest monolith at a seacoast around the world and, by being strategically located on the Rio de Janeiro coast and inside the Tijuca Forest National Park, it offers visitors a unique experience, becoming one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the city thanks to its breathtaking view. The trail that leads to the "Head of the Emperor" - the name given to the Pedra da Gávea peak (which is 842 m high) - passes through the Tijuca Forest, ancient trees, historic ruins, caves and the famous "Carrasqueira" a climb (of about 30 meters) and walking passage, which is traversed in completely safe conditions!
