What you'll do

Having lived in New Orleans the last 6 years I can provide guest with a wealth of knowledge not only about the wetlands surrounding the Nola but also the best local restaurants, music venues, and hangouts. I can tell you where to go and where not to go and most importantly, how to have fun and be safe.

If you are searching for a gorgeous, natural and picturesque kayak swamp tour – this is your tour! See dense cypress forest, expansive wetlands, and an array of wildlife surrounding you as you paddle on waters that are ideal for beginners and adventure seekers alike.

Total tour time from getting picked up in the French Quarter, Wetlands Kayak Tour, to getting dropped back of in the quarter is about 5 hours total. The drive takes about 45 minutes each way, we take a bathroom break right before and right after the tour as well. Before you head out on tour you are outfitted with all proper equipment and given a paddle lesson.

We will meet at Nola Cantina at 12:45pm. If you are running behind please call or text to let us know

New Orleans Kayak Swamp Tours' passion has always been for the great outdoors (check out our website and TripAdvisor page!). Preservation, conservation, and education are our main focuses when guiding you through Louisiana's Most Endangered Natural Resource, the Wetlands.

My love of the outdoors began at summer camp. I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to lead people on adventure trips which I have been doing professionally for the last 6 years here in Louisiana.

Had a really great experience, never been to a swamp before and this exceeded our expectations with the animals we witnessed and the gorgeous greenery. Finished up just at sunset and that was amazing. Highly recommended the evening tour.

We had our tour with Michael! He was very nice and personable! He’s very knowledgeable about the environment and eco system of Louisiana. He had a lot of insight to share about that, as well as some cultural and historical information. Great tour guide!

A.J was our tour guy. He’s super knowledgeable and passionate about it. I honestly had to drag my husband and son to do this tour, they were a little nervous at the beginning but they loved every single part of this trip, it really felt magical, beautiful swamp and super safe and easy even for beginners like me. We saw around 8 alligators and turtles and eagles and flying fish it was so much worth it.

After having to cancel due to rain, they worked well with us to reschedule! We had Mike as a guide and he shared some great information and stories with us throughout the kayak tour.

Our trip was a lot of fun. We spent a little over two hours on the water. Our guide was very informative and provided history of the surrounding land throughout the trip.
