What you'll do

Discover nooks of New Orleans that never made it into commercial travel guides on one of the most colorful tours on Airbnb! We'll meet up in the 9th Ward before setting off on a walk full of towering murals, hidden street art, and underground art history. You'll get an insider's perspective on some of the city's best art, music venues, and restaurants during your time with us—and plenty of great photo ops!

We'll explore the largest concentration of street art, murals, and graffiti in New Orleans, painted by world-famous artists like Banksy, Rebeka Skela, Muck Rock, Jeremy Novy, and Laurel True, as well as local artists such as Crude Things, Leluna, Henry Lipkis, and Jay McKay. By the end of the walk, you'll know more about our public art than most locals do!

This is a family-friendly experience. Please note that the art walk ends at the edge of the French Quarter and does not return to its starting location. Refunds are issued in the event of severe weather. Private and custom tours are available upon request—just message us!

The Fading Glory of Street Art I admire Art in all its forms, but I’ve had a particular reverence for the courage and unique storytelling attributes of American Street artists. This tour was led by Brian. His knowledge of the scene in NOLA and the stories behind the artists and their work was both intriguing and inspiring as he depicted the trials and tribulations of one of America’s most storied cities. The tension between the city, the businesses, the people, and the community as a whole is expressed in each piece as each artists’ work fades into the past and another one takes its place. Maybe we can hope that iconic pieces, like the one by Banksy that depicts NOLA after Katrina will stand the test of time … but then again, maybe it will fade away as the memories of that catastrophic event fades from memory and new ideas enlighten the minds of these gifted storytellers.

We loved this tour! I was with my 75 year old mom, and my teenage niece. We all thought it was great and learned a lot about the NOLA street are scene. For the rest of our trip, we found ourselves paying more attention to the street art that we encountered. The Banksy very cool! And our guide recommended many local clubs and spots to get great eats. We took him up on his suggestion for the po’boys at the end of the tour, and loved them. Take this tour!
