We will open the doors of our laboratory and reveal the magic behind the ingredients and raw materials used to create what people define "memorable ice cream" The multisensory tasting tour is an experience that involves the use of the 5 senses to understand and get to know the raw materials and the aromas that characterize the ingredients of the Gelato d’Altri Tempi. - Olfactory experience: We start from the study of the aromas and fragrances of the raw materials used to make ice cream: • Study of some of 10 cocoa origins with which we make the "Puro Reale" chocolate ice cream from Mokambo Gelateria • Study of the Trilobata Gentile PGI Hazelnut of Piedmont • Study of the Sicilian green gold: the green Pistachio from Bronte DOP • Study of the bitter Gianduia PGI of Piedmont - Tasting experience: After studying the natural ingredients, we move on to the tasting of the same in order to find the flavors and nuances to complete the experience with taste. After the ingredients, go to the "main dish" The experience includes the tasting of the 8 flavors produced with an ancient process that does not include "modern ingredients"
Hello! We are Vincenzo and Giuliana, brother and sister and we are the 4th generation of artisan gelato makers. In Mokambo Gelateria we produce authentic homemade ice cream faithfully following an 1840 recipe that we have kept in our family for over 120 years! Mokambo Gelateria is one of the 20 Gelaterias throughout Italy (out of about 40,000 businesses) that do not use semi-finished or industrial products to produce their own ice creams. Where you'll be
The Mokambo experience will be carried out in the open Mokambo Gelateria laboratory. Guests can move to the various areas of the laboratory to observe, smell and touch the ingredients that make up the "Gelato d'Altri Tempi". Afterwards they will be able to move to the tasting area in order to taste, in the form of ice cream, all the ingredients previously studied.
