What you'll do
We’ll pick you up at your hotel or casa particular and we'll depart from Havana in a two hours trip (~220 km ) through the national highway to the south of Matanzas province. We'll make a quick stop to have breakfast. Our final destination is Zapata Swamp, National Park, biosphere reserve and the biggest wetland in the Caribbean. Once there, we’ll go to the Bay of Pigs, and then we'll stop in a non-frequently visited area and get into the water to snorkel in a well preserved coral reefs ecosystem for about 1 hour, we’ll provide snorkeling gear (mask, snorkel and fins) and safety instructions, you need to have into account that we are going to interact with the wildlife in a protected area, but there´s no dangerous species like sharks. Our second activity is to go in a guidedwalk through a short and rocky path (~20 min) in forest until we arrive to the extraordinary cenotes for swimming/snorkeling/bird watching. Before we return to Havana we’ll enjoy a traditional Cuban lunch (mostly seafood) in a typical local house moreover we’ll be able to know the local culture and know about the huge history of this place. This's a day for relax & enjoy the nature!
