What you'll do

Come with me discover why Lisbon is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world. With the Tagus River at its feet, the city of the seven hills contains an extraordinary historical and architectural heritage, built mostly after the devastating earthquake of 1755. The tour shows you the most emblematic sites of Lisbon and reveals the history of the former capital of the Portuguese Empire, a city occupied by different civilizations, from the Phoenicians to its conquest by Christian knights. The streets, palaces and monuments of Baixa Pombalina and near neighborhoods present a unique beauty and tell a 15 centuries story. The tour runs through Baixa de Lisboa, through the typical Alfama neighborhood, Chiado and ends at Largo do Carmo, in a distance of approximately 4 kilometers. Meeting point: Dom Pedro IV Square (Largo do Rossio) or hotel pick-up Participants: 1 people (minimum) 10 people (maximum) Available languages: English / French / Spanish/ Portuguese Approximate distance: 4 km Duration: 3 hours

Nelson

I began my career as a journalist in 1997, after completing a degree in International Relations, in Lisbon. After working for 17 years in three Portuguese newspapers I decided to move to France and study tourism in the beautiful city of Angers, in the Loire Valley region. One year later, I returned to Portugal and decided to launch my own project as a tour guide. In 2018 I published my first book, the biography "António Ramalho Eanes", the first President of the Republic elected after the long Portuguese dictatorship (1933-1974).
