About your host

I'm a native New Yorker and live on the Upper West Side and have been running these trails for the last 6 years. I’m a former competitive cyclist and found a new passion in running and I've discovered an amazing hidden network of trails through Central Park that I can escape to for a break away from the hectic city streets.

What we’ll do

Escape the pavement and hit the trails of historic Central Park. We will meet at Tavern on the Green and head out for about a 6 mile run at a conversational pace. We will tour the hard-to-find trails of the North Woods, Rambles, Conservatory Garden, Belvedere Castle, and the famous Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir running loop. What else you should know

Bring trail running shoes, bug repellent, sunscreen, appropriate clothing for the weather, and cash for coffee and snacks. There are restrooms and a few water fountains along the route.

Where you'll be

We’ll meet at the historic Tavern on the Green and make our way north through the park. We’ll pass by Bow Bridge, Belvedere Castle, Blockhouse No. 1, Conservatory Garden, Harlem Meer, The Reservoir, and other historic passageways and landmarks before ending up at the Boat House for a snack.
