What you'll do
Meeting at the Saint Michael's gate, main entrance of the Lourdes sanctuaries, by the river, for a walking tour (1 or 2km/1 miles with visits of the 4 basilicas, and at the grotto according to the crowd and masses -as the Lourdes rush hours are from 9am to 9pm-, at the drinking fountains to take water or wash, and bath if you want, at 9am or 2pm, and from April to September in the silent and praying Sacred Heart). And whether you feel it with the weather, we can also go to the circular way of the cross, outside the sanctuaries, at the foot of the Beout mount (30min light climbing walk, and at the 3rd station, there's a replica of the Rome Scala Santa, the world most famous stairs, of 28 steps, which some pilgrims climb on their knees, at Rome Saint John of the Lateran, then going down back at the sanctuaries, on the Rosary place), and even on some locations where Bernadette lived, as she made famous the current religious Lourdes, thanks to her Apparitions of Mary, Jesus mother, to her, at the Massabielle grotto.
Lourdes water is the world most famous one, you can take some of it between the bath and the grotto, at the new water wall,…
