What you'll do

Upon arrival, please feel free to take your time getting situated. There is no rush on the farm. Most often you will be greeted at your car by the chickens and a goat or two.

When we do introduction, we can offer a tour of the property, or spend the entire time interacting with them alongside the road. Afterwards, at your leisure, feel free to wander and take in the scenery or interact with the animals.

If you plan to get in the stream, water shoes are encouraged, as the rocks are slippery. But well worth it for the natural water slide!

We offer you the chance to relax and enjoy a slow-paced time on the farm. Hanging out with goats may be the secret to happiness.

Other things to note:
Roughly 1 hour with host, then free to wander the property.
We have Yurt guests on-site at times, so please be mindful
Times and group sizes are flexible. Just ask!

We are a small family farm with two small children, so we're usually on their time or animal time. We are only the third family to own the farm and incredibly passionate about being stewards of the property, watershed and surrounding woodlands.

Beautiful all year-round, we live and maintain our farm and have created a wonderful home for our children and pair of highland cows, goats, sheep, chickens, guineas. And honey bees.

We offer the opportunity to wander the farm, interact with the animals and enjoy your visit at leisure. We have two kids under 3 and have created an experience that is perfect and engaging for all ages.

We also offer a tea-time service and sell our own herbal tea blends, lotions and honey from our farm store.

Located in Friendsville, Garrett County, MD. Minutes from interstate 68.

Lovely family farm. Jason was very friendly and accommodating. He showed us around and introduced us to several of the animals and then we had time to walk the property on our own. The animals were so sweet and friendly. It was a wonderful experience for adults and children at a fantastic price.

We had such a great time at Jason’s farm and getting to know him, his sweet family, and furry farm friends! Our 3 year old daughter absolutely loved the cats (of course), baby goat, and baby deer! Such a fun experience if you’re looking for something interactive to do with the kiddos during your trip to Deep Creek. Just be sure to wear old shoes/boots since this experience truly allows you to “smell like a goat” by the time you leave! 10/10 recommend!!

What a surprising and wonderful morning adventure for us - two year old equally loved seeing the farm and animals and playing with the kids size bulldozers :)

We had a great time at Jason’s farm. We brought corn and lettuce and we’re allowed to mingle openly with the goats and chickens and cows. The boys loved feeding and petting the animals. Jason kept the animals and the kids safe, which we appreciated. We were amazed that Jason even had a pet deer! Wed never pet a deer before. Very cool experience. Jason was lovely and we will go back next year to see how the baby goat and bill calf are growing.

This is an awesome adventure if you're looking for a laid-back activity. Farmer Jason was able to answer all the questions we had and he was funny in his own way. The dog greeted us on our way in and showed us down to the Babbling Brook where the kids were able to cool off. We then went on a small tour of this family farm and we were able to see chickens, a baby deer, a baby goat, and for the first time in our lives not only a Scottish highland cow, but a Scottish Highland calf... He may have just been the cutest little thing I've ever seen in my life. At the end of the tour I was able to purchase home harvested honey from the beehive on the farm, home cultivated tea, and a homemade eucalyptus lotion that is awesome!
