What you'll do
You will be greeted with a warm smile at the McCowan Rd exit of the McCowan Subway station. From there we will take a Car Service to the Mas Camp. (Mas -refers to the Costumes worn in Caribbean Carnivals) During your ride to the camp you will learn about the history of the Toronto Caribbean Carnival. Once we arrive at the Mas Camp the learning continues as you will get to meet and chat with a designer. This camp is home to some of the best Toronto designers who have been designing costumes for the parade for decades. After a brief talk/ Q&A you will jump right in and begin hands-on learning of making costumes for carnival. Mini Caribbean snack-samples will be provided. Participants will have the opportunity to receive a "Express Carnival Face Makeover" complete with facial jewels and head gear. We will even take pictures using your phone or one on hand. Please note: advance arrangements are needed for the "Express Makeover" Once completed you will board the Car Service and return to the McCowan Subway station

Where you'll be
The workshops will be held at the Mas Camp. The Mas Camp is where the costumes are created, ordered and on display. Pick Up/Drop Off: We will meet at the McCowan Rd exit of the Subway stop McCOWAN from there we will drive (included) to the Mas Camp. Many of the Mas Camps are located in industrial areas they are difficult to get to using public transit.

Up to 5 guests ages 15 and up can attend.
You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.
Tour may run 15-30 minutes early/late depending on participants. Waiver agreement mandatory. Reminder:we will be there to hands-on learn making costumes from the designers in whatever capacity needed.
