What you'll do
Buffalo is a city of immigrants and its foundation was built on immigrant labor. On this food tour, we’ll explore these humble beginnings and connect the city’s history to its current influx of refugee and immigrant communities – all through the lens of its savory culinary traditions. You may not find some of these sites on Yelp, but you won’t regret it! We’ll bike through the East Side and the West Side, eat an amazing international progressive dinner, and learn about groundbreaking urban farming initiatives. So come along and savor the flavors as we learn about and experience some of Buffalo’s hidden gems.
I’m Marc, and I’m founder of Buffalo Bike Tours. As a Buffalo Native who recently returned, I was blown away by how much the city has changed and all there is to see and do. Buffalo is home to a resurgent culture, world-class food, an amazing biking community, and some of the most endearing people anywhere. While I love being back in my hometown, I noticed that most local tour offerings left a lot to be desired. Downtown was full of party bikes, double decker buses, segways, and dry architectural tours – but I saw a need to create a tour company that would stand out with true authenticity.
