According with the season you can be part of the works in the vineyards or in in the cellar. All the seasons are good to visit us, obviously from March to November you can see the colours of our hills. very suggested September during the grape harvest, March, when we prune the vines and we press the dried grapes for the dessert wine Vin Santo, November when we pick the olives and we crush them. On summer you can do wonderful hike in the vineyards and maybe you can help to bottle the wine. Some days of the year it could be possible to do also a wine tasting from the barrels with our master of wine who will explain the secrets of the winemaking. If you love balsamic vinegar, we will introduce in its history ; you could try vinegar with different ageing. You will also discover the incredible flavour of the oil white truffle. My husband and I had a magical time at Simone’s wine estate. Simone was both very welcoming and hospitable. We learned about the wine and oil production as well as the history about chianti classico. We checked out the wine cellar as well as the vineyard. The wine and food pairings were absolutely delicious. I will cherish this memory forever! Thank you to Simone, Manuela & Katerina. Katerina was extremely nice & helpful explaining while serving the wine and food. I recommend this to anyone who is considering having a great day wine tasting!

Really enjoyed the experience! Simone is very personable, and obviously passionate and knowledgeable about not only wine, but olive oil and balsamic vinegar, too! He gave a thorough explanation of the differences between the wines, and then he showed us some beautiful views in the vineyard. Finally, the lunch was excellent—delicious and quite filling. We tried 9 different wines, an olive oil, and some limoncello in addition to the rather large meal. The server was very friendly and helpful. The best part was that we took a little longer to finish lunch than Simone had probably planned, so to make sure we didn’t miss the bus he offered for one of the workers to drive us to the stop. They really went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. Absolutely recommend.

Our experience at Tenuta del Pallagio was absolutely magical. From Simone’s informative explanations about the wine and the history of the region, to the view, the lunch, and our lovely server, everything was absolutely perfect. This was beyond a wine tasting! We felt very welcome and had a wonderful time, and they were very understanding of our food preferences. Highly recommended! Simone is clearly very passionate about what he does and that of itself will make your experience worthwhile.

The ambience, food and winter were amazing. Very nice and knowledgeable hosts. Thankfully the weather held out and we were able to walk around and eat outside although the rain was threatening us all day. Come ready to eat as well! My GF and I thought after a plate of cheese, another plate of meat, and another plate of bread with olive oil that we were almost done with the four course meal. Turns out that was only the beginning and we were nearly ready to burst (in a good way) by the end. Lastly make sure you know your way back at the conclusion of the experience. We had about an hour to kill after it was over and decided to walk to the nearby bus stop and wait there. On our way out one of the winery staff stopped us and offered us a ride to a sooner bus so we jumped in. He dropped us off at a further away bus stop but that bus never came. Not the staff’s fault, the bus was on the schedule just never came. It ended up taking about 3 hours for us to get back to Florence after calling a few different taxi companies. Long story short, plan your way in and out of the wine country.

Like many of the other reviewers stated, this was a very memorable experience. Simone and Manuela are very communicative prior to arrival and ensure you know how to travel there and where to go. My boyfriend and I took the bus in from Florence and Simone arranged a taxi ride back home later after the buses had stopped running for the night. The tour and information Simone gave about the wine and olive oil process was great and I learned several things. However, the real showstopper is sitting outside, taking in the view and enjoying the wonderful antipasti spread with the wine tastings. The whole experience was magical. The dinner Manuela and Simone prepared was exceptional. I highly recommend this experience. Thank you Simone and Manuela!
